1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
2 Tblsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening and peanut butter together. Cream with white and brown sugars. Add egg. milk, and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients until thoroughly mixed. Make into balls and roll in sugar. Put on cookie sheet and bake 8 minutes. Take out and press chocolate star into each cookie and bake 2 or 3 minutes longer at 375.
