4 beef cube steaks
3 tbs. flour
Salt to taste
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 tbs. butter or margarine
1 small onion, chopped
1 c. fresh mushroom, sliced
1/2 c. apple juice
1/2 c. beef broth

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, salt, and pepper, and dredge cube steaks. In a heavy skillet, heat 2 tbs. butter and brown steaks to desired doneness (3 to 4 min. on each side). Set aside. In a separate skillet, saute' onion in 1 tbs. butter until tender. Add mushrooms and cook over medium heat 5 min., stirring occasionally. Add apple juice and beef broth. Stir over high heat until liquid is reduced by half. Pour mushroom sauce over steaks and simmer until sauce is slightly thickened, about 3 to 4 min.
