1 c. fresh strawberries, 3/4 c. sugar, Red food coloring, 1 baked and cooled 8 inch pie shell, 1 c. water, 3 T. cornstarch, 3 c. fresh strawberries, whipped cream

Directions:
Directions:
Crush 1 c. fresh strawberries and cook with water about 2 minutes and run though fine strainer. Combine sugar and cornstarch, stir into berry juice. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Add a few drops of red food coloring. Place 1 1/2 c. fresh strawberries in the pie shell. Pour HALF the sauce over strawberries. Repeat layers with 1 1/2 c. berries and remaining sauce. Chill
