2 sticks butter, not margarine (1 C)
4 T cocoa
1 C water
2 C flour
2 C sugar 1 t soda
1 C buttermilk
2 eggs
1 t vanilla

Frosting

1 stick butter, melted
4 T cocoa
6 T buttermilk 1 C powdered sugar
1 C chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
combine butter, cocoa and water in a sauce pan and melt over low heat. Then bring to a rapid boil. Pour over the flour, sugar and soda. Add the buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Mix together. Bake in 17x11 3/4 pan at 400 for 15 to 20 minutes.

Frosting:
Combine all ingredients and spread over HOT cake.
