3 c. warm water
2 Tbsp. yeast
2 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. oil
7 or 8 cups flour, divided

Directions:
Directions:
Mix yeast in water and let it dissolve. When yeast is dissolved and bubbly, add sugar, salt, and oil. Add half the amount of flour beating until smooth. Add the remaining flour slowly until you have a soft dough. Knead until elastic, let rise until double in size. Punch down and let rise 15 minutes. Cut in thirds and roll in a rectangle 12x15 then roll each rectangle into a long tight roll. Place on greased cookie sheet, slash top and let rise until double. Bake @ 350 for 45 minutes. Makes three loaves. Variation: brush top with milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds before baking.
