2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. quick-cooking oats
12 oz. pack. choc. chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 T. butter
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 8 ingredients. Save 1/3 of the mixture. Press remaining 2/3 of mixture in a 9x13 buttered pan.
Melt chocolate chips, milk, and butter. Add salt and vanilla to the melted chocolate. Pour chocolate mixture over oatmeal mixture and top with remaining 1/3 of oatmeal.
Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 min.

When my family heads off to Lake Okoboji in June, this is one of our favorite treats. We like them best frozen.
You may also add 1 c. chopped nuts to the chocolote mixture, but Michael will not allow it in our recipe!
