1 pkg. plain white cake mix
1 cup whole milk
8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, melted
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanila
Quick Caramel Frosting

Directions:
Directions:
Solid vegetable shortening for greasing pan. Place a rack in the center of the oven and preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease two 9 inch round cake pans then dust with flour.
Place the cake mix, milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla in large mixing bowl. Blend with an electric mixer on low speed for 1 minute. Scrape down the sides and beat 2 minutes more at medium speed. Divide the batter between the pans. Bake 27 to 29 minutes. Cool on rack for 10 minutes. Invert. Allow to cool completely (30 minutes or more). Meanwhile prepare the Caramel Frosting.
