5 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 14-oz. cans Eagle Brand milk
5 oz. can evaporated milk
2 Tbsp vanilla
2 quarts whole milk or more

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs well. Add sugar and salt and beat well. Add 3 cups regular milk and pour into double boiler. Cook until thickened. Cool. Pour cooled mixture, Eagle Brand milk, evaporated milk, vanilla and remaining regular milk into ice cream freezer. Mix well. Freeze according to directions given with your ice cream freezer.
