4 cups Apple Cinnamon Cheerios cereal
2 cup Cinnamon Chex or Corn Chex cereal
2 cup small pretzel twists
1 cup walnut halves or substitute another nut
2 egg whites
2 tablespoons apple juice or water
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup apple chips (the freeze dried crunchy type)

Directions:
At home: Heat oven to 300F. Spray large roasting pan with cooking spray or grease with shortening. In large bowl, mix cereals, pretzels and walnuts; set aside.

In medium bowl, beat egg whites, apple juice, sugar and cinnamon with wire whisk until well blended. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Spread in pan.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until light brown and crisp. Remove from oven; stir in apple chips.

Cool completely, about 30 minutes. Package in zip to bags; one for each patrol member.

On the trail: Pass out bags and enjoy!
