Candied Sweet Potatoes Recipe

6 sweet potatoes, cooked, sliced and placed in a casserole dish

Syrup:

1 c brown sugar (packed)
1 cube butter, melted
1/4 c water
1 tsp. cinnamon
tsp. salt
c cream (makes the syrup caramelize)
Marshmallows (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Bring syrup ingredients to a boil and pour over the potatoes. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until heated through.. You can cook the potatoes and add the syrup the day ahead and then heat it up the next day.

If using marshmallows dot them over the top of the finished sweet potatoes and put under the broiler until golden brown on top. Watch carefully - marshmallows burn easily!
