1 egg
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. shortening
2 1-oz. squares chocolate
1 2/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. sour milk (add 2 drops vinegar to reg. milk)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt shortening and chocolate together. Beat egg and sugar until light. Add vanilla and melted shortening/chocolate mix.
Blend well.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour milk. Drop by Tablespoons full on to greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes. Frost with thin mix of powdered sugar and milk.
