1 chicken - 3-4 lbs
3 cloves garlic, halved
3 Tblsp. butter, melted
1/2 tsp. each salt and pepper
1/4 tsp. each thyme, oregano, basil

Directions:
Directions:
Remove giblets from chicken. Rinse chicken. Rub skin with minced or 1 cut clove garlic. Put rest of garlic in body cavity. Stir together butter, salt, pepper, thyme, oregano and basil. Spoon over skin.
Place chicken breast side down, on a rack in a roasting pan. Bake, uncovered in a 375* F oven for 1-1.25 hours; after 30 minutes turn chicken breast side up.
