1 Cup Butter (softened)
3/4 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 Tsp. Vanilla
2 1/2 Cups Flour
1 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 Tsp. Salt
1 Recipe of Frosting (to follow)

FROSTING
1/2 Cup Butter (softened)
4 Cups Powdered Sugar
1 Tsp. Vanilla
3-4 Tbsp. Milk
Food Coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, add egg and vanilla; mix well. Combine the flour, salt and baking powder and add to the creamed mixture. Mix well.

Chill the dough for about 1 hour. Roll out dough onto a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out with cookie cutters.

Bake at 375º for 6-8 minutes. Don't let them get brown!

Cool cookies before frosting.
