"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for CARAMEL RICE KRISPIE TREATS, by , is from EDGAR'S EDIBLES,

families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
8-10 Cups Rice Krispies 1/2 Cup Butter 2 Pkgs. Miniature Marshmallows 1 Pkg. Kraft Caramels 1/4 Cup Butter 1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
Melt butter and 1 1/2 packages of the marshmallows. Stir the Rice Krispies into the marshmallow mixture. Press 1/2 - 3/4 of this mixture onto a greased 10X15 jellyroll pan. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 pkg. marshmallows over the Rice Krispies.
In a microwave safe dish, melt the caramels, butter and condensed milk together. You will need to stir this once or twice while melting. Pour melted caramel over the marshmallows. Put the rest of the Rice Krispie mixture over the top of the caramel.
NOTE: It will be easier to work with the Rice Krispie mixture if you put butter on your hands.
