4 c. old-fashioned oats
1 1/2 c. sliced almonds
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. honey
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300. In a large bowl mix oats, almonds, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon. In a saucepan warm oil and honey on low heat. Take off heat and stir in vanilla. Pour liquid mixture over oat mixture. Mix until well combined. Spread into a large baking pan. Bake for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.

You can add dried fruits, coconut, or other types of nuts. My family prefers this simple version.
