4 medium cucumbers, sliced, peeling is optional
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sugar, scant
1/2 tsp salt
4 tbsp white vinegar
sliced onion, if desired

Directions:

Let cucumber slices marinate in the mixture of remaining ingredients for at least several hours, refrigerated.
