21/2 cups sifted flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 cocoa
2 tsp baking soda
2 cup sour cream
2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all the dry ingredients and then add the pre-mixed wet ingredients. Beat for 4 minutes. Pour into a greased cookie sheet and bake on 350.

This recipe came from Norma Schuller. We used to make it often while growing up on the farm. I would skim off the top few inches of cream from our gallon pickle jars of farm fresh, refrigerated milk. Mom wouldn't let me get all 2 cups from 1 gallon because that would have made that gallon "skim" so I planned ahead and took the cream from at least 2 gallon jars. I could speed the process of souring the fresh cream by adding a tablespoon of vinegar while mixing the other ingredients.
