Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 rounded T. flour
1 T. Hershey's Cocoa
5 eggs, separated
1 tall can evaporated milk plus whole milk to make 2 3/4 c. milk
1/4 stick oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
10" pie crust, unbaked

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, cocoa and flour together. Beat egg yolks and blend with sugar/flour mixture until mixed well. Pour in milk slowly and mix well. Pour into heavy pot, add butter and vanilla and heat until mixture is hot and steaming, stirring continuously. (If you overcook, mixture will be too stiff after baking) When it's smoking, remove from heat and pour into uncooked pie crust and bake in oven for 45-50 min. @ 350. Take out of stove, set aside and beat egg whites for meringue. Spread on pie and put back in oven and brown meringue.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Bob is the husband of Emily (Hollenshead) McAdams & the son-in-law of the late Jack & Dorothy (Bellew) Hollenshead. This mixture can be used for a coconut pie. Rather than the cocoa, use 8 oz. coconut & prepare as above. I learned by watching Mama cook it & submitted this recipe in her memory.
