1/2 stick butter
2 pounds thinly sliced onions
3 tbsp.flour
1tsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
2 quarts beef broth
Parmesan cheese
Swiss cheese
hamburger buns

Directions:
Directions:
cook onions in margarine on low heat until golden brown. Add flour slowly,sugar and beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer one hour and pour into bowls.place 1/2 toasted , buttered bun on top of each bowl. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese . Cover with one slice Swiss cheese and bake at 350 degrees until melted or lightly browned.
Makes 10 to 12 one cup servings

Broth can be made by using 8 tsp. beef stock in 2 quarts water. Stir well.
