1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. dairy sour cream
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly: add sour cream, egg yolks and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients: add to creamed mixture, blending well, chill.
Shape into several balls, working with small portions at a time, keeping remaining dough chilled. Roll out 1/8 inch thick on a lightly floured surface. Cut with floured 2 1/2 inch cutter, sprinkle with sugar. Bake on a greased baking sheet in a moderate oven (350 degree) about 15 minutes. Makes 6 dozen.
