1-1/2 lb lamb cubes
'1 c chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tsp freshly grated gingerroot
2-3 tsp Madras curry powder
1-1/2 c water
1 tsp salt
1 cinnamon stick
4 whole cloves
1 c plain yogurt
rice

Directions:
Directions:
Lightly brown lamb in olive oil. Remove to cooking pot. Add to oil remaining in pan the onion, garlic, and gingerroot.Saute slowly until onion is transparent. Add curry powder and cook slowly 2-3 minutes. Add 1-1/2 c water. Stir well and pour over the lamb. Add salt, cinnamon stick, and cloves. Cook until lamb is tender. Blend in yogurt and serve over rice.
