Beef roast 1 large onion, sliced 1 c. vinegar 2 c. coffee 2 c. water salt and pepper
Cut slits in roast. Put onion slices in slits. Put beef in bowl and pour over 1 c. vinegar. Let stand in refrigerator for 24 hours. When ready to cook pour off vinegar, brown on both sides. Then put 2 cups coffee over meat. Add 2 c. water. Cook slowly 6 hours. Add salt and pepper.
