1 German Chocolate Cake mix
1 stick margarine
1/3 c. milk
3/4 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 pkg. caramels

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare cake mix as directed. Pour half into a greased 9x13-inch pan. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Melt caramels, margarine and milk together in a double boiler. Remove cake from oven and pour caramel mixture over it. Top with chocolate chips and pecans. Dot remaining cake batter over top and return to oven for 20 minutes at 250. Turn oven to 350 for final 10-15 minutes. Frost with chocolate frosting or sifted powdered sugar (optional).
