1 cup sifted enriched flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 cup milk
5 eggs
2 Tbsp. Melted butter
Thinly sliced apples sautéed in butter or hot applesauce

Directions:
Directions:
Mix and sift dry ingredients. Stir in milk. Add unbeaten eggs one at a time, beating each separately into batter. Add melted butter. Pour into hot greased skillet. Put on direct heat for 1 minute, and then bake in hot oven (425F) until browned, puffed, and curled up at edges, 20 to 25 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and lemon juice if desired. Serve at once with hot thin slices of apple which have been sautéed in butter or with hot applesauce. Serves 4 to 6.
