1 c. water or chicken broth, approximately
1 c. ham broth, approximately
2 c. diced potatoes
1 c. sliced carrots
1 c. diced celery
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 - 1/2 c. cubed ham

White sauce:
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
2 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Put all vegetables in pot. Barely cover with water & broth. Cook slowly until done. When done, pour off at least 1/2 of remaining water. In small sauce pan make white sauce by cooking butter & flour together until smooth (approximately 1-1 1/2 min.). Slowly add milk; stir & cook until thickened. Pour white sauce over cooked vegetables. Add cubed ham and shredded cheese. Stir until thoroughly blended & cheese is melted. Serve warm.
