3 baking apples (Granny Smith or Braeburn), peeled and thinly sliced
3 pears, thinly sliced
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 box (regular or deep dish) Mrs. Paulís pie crust
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup English toffee baking bits (not chocolate coated)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl, combine apples, pears, brown sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, ginger, and nutmeg; toss until well blended. Spread into lightly greased 8-inch square baking dish. Remove one of the pie crusts from package; serve remaining crust for another use. Crumble frozen crust into medium bowl. Add granulated sugar, toffee bits, and cinnamon; toss to mix.
