4 lbs. melted fat
2 quarts cold water
1 cup Clorox (no substitute)
1 cup borax
1 can lye

Directions:
Directions:
Put melted fat in a granite kettle or crock. Mix cold water Clorox and Borax together. Add to fat and stir slowly with a wooden spoon. Add lye slowly and stir and stir and stir. Stir every few minutes until granulated.
