Directions:
Cut rhubarb into 1/2 inch lengths. Sift 1 c. sugar & 2 T. flour together & mix with the rhubarb. Pour into 8" or 9" baking dish and dot with butter. In separate bowl sift together the remaining sugar, flour, salt & baking powder. Stir in beaten egg. This mixture will be crumbly. Sprinkle mixture over the rhubarb and shake the pan a little so crumbs will settle down into the rhubarb. Bake at 350 or until the crust is a delicate brown. Serve warm or cold with cream or ice cream.
