1 baguette loaf, sliced about 1/4 inch thick
8 strips bacon, cooked, drained, and chopped
1 tablespoon ground sage
teaspoon ground white pepper
6 ounces blue cheese, softened
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat broiler. Arrange bread on baking
sheet. Broil bread slices until lightly toasted. Top each slice with some bacon; add sage and pepper.
Combine cheese and butter, and then spread over bread slices. Broil until cheese bubbles. Serve warm. Can be made without the bacon.
