6 c. buttermilk
10 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, pounded 1/2 " thick
2 1/2 c. self rising flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 c. butter
1 c. honey
1 c. chopped pecans
vegetable oil

Pour buttermilk into a large bowl. Add chicken, cover and refrigerate at least 1 1/2 hours. Combine flour, salt, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper in a shallow dish. Drain chicken and dredge in flour mixture, shaking off excess. Let chicken stand 20 minutes at room temperature. For the sauce: Melt butter in a small heavy saucepan over low heat. Stir in honey and bring to a boil. Add pecans and simmer 15 minutes. Meanwhile, put vegetable oil in a large heavy skillet to 1/2 " to 3/4 " in depth. Heat oil to 375. Add chicken and fry in batches, about 7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels. Arrange chicken on a serving platter. Pour honey glaze on top and serve immediately.

A true Southern recipe! Don't let your mind think about the calories. You will think you have died and gone to heaven!! I have made it with Carol's Oven Fried Chicken and the sauce.
