Cake Topping 1 1/2 c. boiling water 3 Tblsp soft butter 1 c. oatmeal 2/3 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. oil 1/2 c. coconut 1 c. white sugar 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1 c. brown sugar 1 1/2 c. flour 2 eggs 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp salt
Cook the first 3 ingredients together and let set for 20 minutes. Mix together the remaining ingredients for the cake. Add the oatmeal mixture to the batter, mix well, and pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Mix ingredients for topping together and sprinkle on raw batter. Bake 40-45 minutes at 350º
