1 sweet onion
2 cups red cooking wine
3-4 tbsp honey

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve honey in wine by stirring. Slice onion into rings and soak in wine for about 30 minutes. Saute onion in olive oil... add a little of wine mixture toward end. Cook down. Serve.

This is a great way to dress up a steak or burger. I don't usually use the whole onion and I usually use a deep small bowl to soak in so the onions are fully covered.
