2 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. yellow cornmeal
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. chilled butter or margarine, cut into small pieces
1 c. mashed cooked sweet potato (canned yams make an easy substitution)
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. honey

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level with a knife. Combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt in a bowl; cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add sweet potato, milk and honey; stir just until moist.

Turn dough out onto a heavily floured surface; knead lightly 5 times. Pat dough into a 9" square; cut into 16 squares. Place biscuits on a baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden.
