cake:
2 sticks butter
1/2 cup crisco
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
1 cup Carnation Milk
4 tbsp cocoa
4 tbsp vanilla
3 cups cake flour (Swan Down)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder

Icing:
3 squares chocolate (cocoa) - melted
1 pkg. powdered sugar
1/2 stick butter - melted
cream

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter, crisco, sugar, eggs and milk. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
Mix well and add cocoa and vanilla.

Bake at 325 for 1 hour 20 minutes.

Icing- mix together and add enough cream for right consistency to spread.
