3/4 cup wild rice
3 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup pearl barley
1/4 cup dried cranberries, apricots, and/or cherries
1/4 cup currants
1 TBSP margarine or butter
1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted

Directions:
Directions:
*Rinse rice with cold water; drain. In a saucepan combine rice and chicken broth. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover; simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in barley; cranberries; apricots, and/or cherries; currants; and margarine or butter. Spoon into a 1 1/2 quart casserole.

*Bake, covered, in a 325 oven for 55 to 60 minutes or till rice and barley are tender and liquid is absorbed, stirring once. Fluff rice mixture with a fork; stir in almonds.
