Crust:
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. oatmeal

Middle Layer:
1 tbsp. butter
1 can Eagle Brand Milk
6 oz. chocolate chips
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix all of the crust ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Reserve 1 cup of the mixture to sprinkle on top. Spread evenly into a greased 9x13 in. baking dish. In a saucepan, mix together the Eagle Brand milk, butter, chocolate chips, salt, and vanilla until melted and smooth. Pour the mixture over the crust and sprinkle the reserved crust mixture over the top. Bake for 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
