2 c. solid vegetable shortening (you can substitute 1 c. butter or margarine plus 1 c. solid vegetable shortening to get a more buttery taste.)
2 lbs. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1-2 tsp. clear vanilla or favorite flavoring (Becky uses butter flavoring)
6-8 oz. whipping cream

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening until fluffy. Add sugar and continue creaming until well blended. Add salt, flavoring and whipping cream; blend on low speed until moistened. Beat at high speed until icing is fluffy.
