1/2 peck green tomatoes
16 sweet peppers
2 large onions
1 qt vinegar
2 lbs sugar
2 sticks cinnamon
2 Tbs whole allspice
2 Tbs whole cloves
2 Tbs salt
2 Tbs mustard seed
1 Tbs celery seed

Boil tomatoes, peppers and onions in water for 15 minutes; then drain off all the green water. (Leaving the vegetables in the pot they cooked in.)
In a separate pot place sugar and spices, (cinnamon, cloves and allspice), in vinegar and let come to a good boil.
Put the salt, mustard seed and celery seed on the drained vegetables.
Pour the hot vinegar over the vegetables, straining out the spices. Bottle and seal.
