2 tablespoon sugar
1 package dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 cup sifted flour
1 egg
2 tablespoon soft shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water in bowl. Stir in sugar, salt and half the flour. Add egg and shortening, mix well. Beat in remaining flour until smooth. Let rise, cover for 30 minutes or until doubled in bulk. Stir dough down. Put on greased pan rolled into small balls, let sit for 30 minutes to rise again. Bake at 375 for 15 to 20 minutes.
