8 - 10 artichokes
garlic
salt & pepper
olive oil

Directions:
Directions:
Soak artichokes in water. Proceed to cut off bottom so it is flat. Snip the tips of the artichokes. Cut up some garlic & insert into the bulb of the artichoke. Put into large pan sprinkle with olive oil, salt & pepper. Add water half way up to the artichoke. Cook on medium heat for approx. 1 hour.

These are normally served on Easter Sunday which is part of the Italian tradition. You can also melt butter & lemon juice & serve with the artichokes.
