1/2 c. flour
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. Crisco
1/4 c. onion, chopped
1/2 c. celery, chopped
3/4 c. water
2 T. chopped pimento
1 tsp. salt
1/2 frying chicken, cut up
1 can mushroom soup

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, salt and pepper in a paper bag;add chicken pieces, a few at a time and shake to coat. Brown chicken in hot Crisco in skillet. Transfer chicken to 3 qt. casserole. Cook celery and onions until tender, don't allow them to brown. Drain off excess fat. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, water and pimento. Pour soup mixture over chicken in casserole. Cover and bake at 350 about 50 min. or until chicken is tender. Serve chicken and gravy over rice.
