1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, and 1/2 cup brown sugar in bowl until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix flour, soda, salt, and baking powder in separate bowl. Add to shortening mixture alternately with the buttermilk, mixing well after each addition. Combine 1/4 cup brown sugar and cinnamon in another bowl. Pour half the batter into a prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle with 2/3 of the brown sugar mixture. Add remaining batter. Sprinkle with remaining brown sugar mixture. Swirl with a knife. Bake at 350 for 40-50 minutes....do not over bake.
