6-8 medium tart apples, peeled & sliced
1/4 cup water
1/4 tsp. salt
5 tbsps. butter
2 tbsps. lemon juice
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Pare apples & slice & sprinkle with lemon juice. Combine 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 c. sugar & sprinkle over apples, mix & put into shallow baking pan. Blend 1/2 cup sugar with 2/3 cup flour, 1/4 tsp. salt & 5 tbsps. butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples & pat gently with spoon so it adheres to apples. Bake at 350 for 50 min. or until apples are tender & crust is crisp & light brown.
