1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. water
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Melt butter or margarine in water over medium heat. Turn heat low and add flour and salt. Beat until it holds together in a ball. Remove from heat and add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition, until mixture is smooth. Drop by tablespoon on well greased baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour.

When cream puffs are thoroughly cool, cut side of each and fill with cream pie filling, whipped cream, jam or ice cream. Sprinkle each with powdered sugar if desired.
