cup flour
tsp baking soda
tsp salt
cup butter or margarine, softened
6 T sugar (if double recipe, cup)
6 T firmly packed brown sugar
tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 cup uncooked oats
1 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375.
Combine butter/margarine, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla; beat until creamy.
Beat in egg.
Blend in flour, baking soda, and salt.
Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
Spread into greased 99 or 711 . (if double recipe, 1015)
Bake 20 minutes.
