Cream together: 2 c. shortening 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 c. brown sugar 3 eggs 1 T. vanilla ADD: 4 1/2 c. flour 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 12 oz. bag of chocolate chips
Cream together 1st 5 ingredients then add dry ingredients. Mix well, then stir in chocolate chips and 1 1/2 c. nuts if desired. Drop rounded spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for about 13 minutes or until lightly browned.
