1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup quick-cooking or regular oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 package (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. Beat sugar, margarine, peanut butter, vanilla and egg in medium bowl with wooden spoon until creamy and well blended. Mix in flour, oats, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chips.
2. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

This can also be made as a bar by spreading dough into a greased 9x9x2 inch square pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into 2x1 inch bars
