3/4 c. chopped nuts (pecans, almonds, walnuts...alone or in combination)
6 T. Butter, softened
2 T. sugar
1 c. flour
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. vanilla or almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients and press into 9" buttered pie pan. Chill for 30 minutes before filling and baking at 350 degrees.
A nut crust works well with sliced fresh fruit or ice cream filling, too. Bake crust for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool, fill and serve.

To prevent a soggy bottom pie crust, "waterproof" it by brushing with egg white before filling.
