1 pound noodles
6 eggs
1/2 stick margarine, plus extra to grease pan
1 c. applesauce (chunky works great)
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. raisins
Cinnamon

Cook noodles and drain. Combine noodles with remaining ingredients. Pour into margarine greased pan. Sprinkle cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

This is the classic, hearty kugel. It's great for Rosh Hashanah because it is sweet. I like to make it in a bundt pan because it comes out looking so pretty when I entertain.
