1 cup sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
3 T. shortening
1/3 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dough and roll out on floured surface to about 1/4 inch or 1/8 inch thickness. Cut in about 4 inch circles, put a dollop of apricot jam, strawberry preserves or whatever kind of jam you want. Fold dough over and seal edges, crimp with fork tines. Fry in hot skillet in small amount of oil.
